SOWN[at]Home Nodes

SOWN deploys Wi-Fi access points that provide eduroam access called SOWN[at]Home nodes as they can be connected to people's home network (i.e. broadband) or any Internet connection. They then talk back to the SOWN network over an OpenVPN tunnel.

SOWN[at]Home nodes run a bespoke version of OpenWRT firmware. SOWN's aim is to ensure this firmware can work on a wide range of hardware. However, at present most nodes are GL.iNet AR150s.
